All ductile iron tapped plugs have a FPT (female pipe thread) outlet. Plugs are designed to insert into a gasket bell end fitting and will be secured to the horizontal ears of the fitting. The spigot end of the plug is factory beveled, but gasket pipe lubricant must be applied before inserting into the gasket bell end.
